After 35 years, a murder case will move to trial Monday.
65-year-old Raul Sierra was arrested in 2016 after new evidence connected him to cold case out of northwest Oklahoma City.
Sierra is accused of shooting and killing the victim back in 1982. Until his arrest, police said suspected killer Raul Sierra roamed the country until he was found in Louisiana.
Sierra is accused of shooting and killing Wilfredo Roberto Matos Osorio back in November 1982. DNA evidence helped investigators link him to the crime.
Orsorio's body was discovered by a bridge embankment in Pottawatomie County, but investigators said several witnesses claimed the killing occurred in a home in Oklahoma City.
The OSBI said the second person implicated in the murder is dead.
