The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 14-year-old Barnsdall girl died Thursday morning following a pickup crash in Osage County just of Barnsdall.

Troopers stated in their report, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

In the report, a 2002 Ford F350 pickup, driven by a 16-year-old Barnsdall boy was headed east on a county road when it went off the road just before 8 a.m.
The OHP says the truck overturned one time after leaving the road, causing the girl to be ejected from the pickup.

The girl was taken to a Bartlesville hospital where she died due to internal injuries.  The boy was treated and released from the same hospital.  No names were released by the OHP.

Troopers say neither the driver or the passenger were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
