The Tulsa Police Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious item left outside the jail Tuesday morning. Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said a backpack addressed to the Justice Authority was left in front of the jail at 300 North Denver.
TCSO said no explosive device was found - the backpack contained clothing.
"You can't be too safe," said Deputy Justin Green. Green said there were some "ramblings" left on the package but not all of it was legible.
The bomb squad robot was used to check out the backpack.
The lobby and parking lot were closed as were streets surrounding the jail.
