Several local non-profits and businesses teamed up to give those in need a special Valentine's Day meal.

Thursday, almost 400 people were served a Valentine's Day-themed lunch at Tulsa's Day Center for the Homeless.

The meals were provided by the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and the Schusterman Family Foundation.

"Sometimes, on Valentine's Day, a lot of people stay by themselves, and this was created in order to remember folks who are lonely. And so we get together and celebrate Valentine's Day. They get a great meal, they get some gifts and some flowers, and it’s just going to be a day of celebration," said Mack Haltom with the Day Center for the Homeless.

This is the 12th year the center has hosted a Valentine's Day lunch.
