Oklahomans Tweet Their Experiences In Hurricane Irene's Path

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Some people on the east coast are using Twitter to share their experiences in Hurricane Irene with News On 6, NEWS 9 and friends and family in Oklahoma.

cmcilwain is Charlton McIlwain. He has lived in Oklahoma City, Norman and Shawnee. He is currently a Professor of Communication at New York University.

LKPNYC is Lori Parker.  Lori worked at News On 6 as a producer in the 90s and has lived in New York City since 2001.  She's a producer for the Doctor Radio Channel on Sirius/XM 81.

helloimclark is a high school senior in Landisville, Pennsylvania.  His mom is from the Tulsa area and he has lots of family here.  He works at a grocery store and plans to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa next year.

SusannahAmanda is Susannah Wells.  She's the daughter of News On 6 reporter Rick Wells.  She graduated from Jenks High School and OU and now works for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

RoseAnneSp is Roseanne Spradlin, a modern dance choreographer who lives in Greenwich Village, New York. She grew up in Oklahoma and her mother and three sisters still live here.

JCT007 is John Tilly, a former Tulsan now living on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He's the president of John Tilly Marketing, Inc.

tombitt is Thomas J. Bittman, a former Tulsa resident who lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. He is vice-president for Gartner, a computer industry think-tank.

EEKatLarge is Erin Kelly, a Tulsa native and Jenks graduate who lives on Manhattan's Upper West Side – or evacuation zone B.
