4 Cornish game hens 1 1/2 c White Zinfandel 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp celery seeds 1/2 tsp dill weed 1/2 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp pepper 1 T fresh basil, chopped 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped 1/2 c White Zinfandel
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse hens with cold water and pat dry. Place hens cavity side up on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Pour 1 1/2 cups of wine over hens and sprinkle half of mixture over hens and marinate 2 hours or overnight in Ziploc bag. Bake uncovered for one hour, then turn breast side up. Pour 1/2 cup of over hens and sprinkle remaining seasonings. Bake an additional 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with wine in pan.
