Turnpike Accident Proves Fatal

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is trying to identify a man who was hit and killed while trying to walk across the Turner Turnpike southeast of Tulsa.   OHP Captain Chris West says the man had no identification and appears to be in his mid-30s.

Troopers say the man was trying to walk across westbound lanes of the turnpike, late Sunday, when he was hit by a car then run over by possibly two more vehicles.

The drivers were not given tickets and no arrests were made.
