Boeing to cut 900 Wichita jobs

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Boeing says it will cut 900 jobs at its Wichita plant over the next several months.

Boeing says it is restructuring to focus on military 747 and other widebody aircraft modifications and upgrades.

Boeing says it will issue 60-day layoff notices tomorrow to 360 workers. Another 240 employees will lose their jobs by the end of July and 300 more jobs will be cut in mid-November.
