OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of people killed on Oklahoma roadways this year is trailing the pace set last year.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports 161 people have been killed this year, compared to 178 people during the same time in 2005.

Meanwhile, the number of fatalities for April also is trailing last year's pace. There were 50 people killed during the first few weeks of April last year, compared to just 18 this year.
