LONE GROVE, Okla. (AP) -- Carter County authorities are looking for the person who left a suspected pipe bomb along US Highway 70 near Lone Grove.

Sheriff Harvey Burkhart says a motorist found the device and called deputies and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was called and detonated it.

Burkhart says the devices was 6 to 8 inches long with caps on both ends that had been drilled and fuses installed.

He says the device was elaborate and appears to have been made by someone who knew what they were doing.

Authorities are now analyzing evidence found with the bomb.
