ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A man charged with kidnapping his estranged wife and killing her lover has been ordered jailed without bond.

Eric Parker made his initial appearance in Carter County District Court Monday to face warrant charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping stemming from his arrest Friday.

Parker is accused of shooting Danny Watterson, 42, around midnight Wednesday at Watterson's home in Dickson and then kidnapping his estranged wife, Kimberly Rae Gilbert.

Parker was arrested after a state trooper spotted him in Caddo County and forced his pickup truck to lose control. Sheriff Harvey Burkhart says Parker had already agreed to turn himself in and was on his way back to Ardmore.

Gilbert told authorities that Parker had taken her to the Texas Panhandle and then back into Oklahoma while eluding arrest for two days. She had filed for divorce days before the kidnapping and killing occurred.
