Family members said goodbye to an Owasso pilot killed in a plane crash. 61-year-old William Barnes died when the plane he was flying crashed in Owasso on Sunday.

His grandson was critically injured. Barnes' grandson, 11-year old Beau Hall was transferred to the Shriner's Burn Hospital in Cincinnati Friday. He broke both his arms, both his legs and his jaw and remains in a drug-induced coma.

The National Transportation Safety Board released an initial report. In the report, witnesses say the plane was flying but they heard a small bang as it got low.

Witnesses then saw the plane driving on 181st Street, getting ready to take off. That's when witnesses say it hit a street sign for what appeared to be a second time. The small Cessna 180 was able to lift off from the ground, but witness reports say the plane veered towards some power lines, before the wing hit the lines and nose dived.

The funeral was held Friday morning at the Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso.
