A brazen, mid-afternoon heist in south Tulsa. Two men stole $5,000 worth of merchandise at a high-end clothing store, just feet away from the clerk. The store's security cameras are also high-end and captured a clear picture of the thieves.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says Holly was working at the Stil Clothing Store at 81st and Lewis on Friday, June 30th around 4 PM, when two men came in and spent 30 minutes trying on expensive jeans and shirts.

The minute she turned to the computer, they went from customers to thieves. "I looked at the door and they had piles of clothes and I told them to stop. They said they were sorry, sorry and ran out the door."

Holly says the men seemed nervous and gave her a weird feeling, but she gave them the benefit of the doubt. Even though they took $5,000 worth of jeans and shirts, she was smart enough not to chase them. "You don't know if they've got a gun or if you get too close for their comfort level, you never know."

The two men nearly ran over a couple in the parking lot, so that couple followed the Ford truck to a nearby apartment complex and got their Cherokee tag number of ON-7143. That and these pictures should be enough for someone to know who they are. "I hope they get caught. I'm frustrated they took advantage of the fact I was being so polite and let them have their time and I wasn't judging them too forwardly. It's frustrating that we can't work comfortably. I have to be cautious and it's too bad. I want them to pay the penalty."

The store has new policies and beefed up security. Holly says it's taken away some of her trust in people and made her more aware of what can happen.

If you recognize the man in the video, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. The Citizens Crime Commission will pay up to $1,000 to the person whose tip leads to an arrest.

The store is also offering that person a $300 gift certificate.
