Lamson bought a majority share of the Double-A franchise from Went Hubbard, who retained a minority share. Hubbard had owned a controlling interest in the baseball team since December 1986.
Lamson had been the team's executive vice president and general manager and now will be the Drillers' president, while Hubbard remains as a team vice president.
The Drillers also named Mike Melega as their new general manager and Jason George as the assistant general manager.
