Former Haskell Police Officer Accused Of Rape

HASKELL, Okla. (AP) _ A former Haskell police officer is accused of statutory rape of two teenage girls.

Bob Wheeland was arrested at his home by Muskogee County Sheriff's Office investigators following an investigation in which a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old girl said they have had sex with him.

Investigator Tim Brown says there is also information indicating there is a third victim.

Wheeland was fired as a police officer in February after city officials learned he was under investigation for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.
