Monday morning storms brought strong winds and heavy rains to parts of Green Country, causing thousands of power outages.

Most outages were caused by downed power lines, blown transformers, and even a couple of lightning strikes.

AEP-PSO reports at the height of the storm about 11,000 customers were in the dark.
