More than two dozen people are training to become Tulsa police officers. Some 30 recruits began the 25 week training Tuesday.

The 94th police academy class will spend the next half a year learning procedure, protocol and law enforcement techniques.

The Tulsa Police Department currently has approximately 950 officers. This class will fill vacancies and will bring the total closer to full strength.

Graduation is December 16th.
