MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A state audit says Muskogee County District Attorney John David Luton's office forfeited property without a court order.

The DA's office is also accused of not keeping a complete inventory of seized items and of not following guidelines for the receipt and deposit of seized money.

Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan says similar findings have been found in the office over the last three years.

McMahan says Luton's office has established procedures for accounting for seized funds but does not always follow them.
