OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A former lieutenant colonel in the US Army is going to prison for six months for inflating his income figures on loan applications in 1997.

David Biggers' sentencing had been delayed for four years while he completed is Army service.

Biggers pleaded guilty in 2001 to a charge of making a false statement in 1997 when getting four loans for a total of $850,000. He used the money in an effort to save a struggling family business.
