Bike 2 Work

Bicycling is one way to help the environment and get a little exercise in the process. Wednesday, INCOG kicked off its Bike 2 Work program encouraging residents to put down their car keys and ride to work on a bicycle. INCOG says you can save about a hundred bucks during the Ozone Alert season by biking to work just once a week. In addition, you will be helping reduce emissions that affect air quality.

"This summer is going to be really critical for us to keep our ozone level down to a level where we're not on the federal dirty air list. Cycling is one way to really contribute to that cause," says INCOG’s transportation planner Patrick Fox.

INCOG says with gas prices being as high as they expect more people to look for an alternative to driving. For more information, visit
