Mach, Pitching Lift Cowboys Over Wichita State

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Oklahoma State second baseman Tyler Mach and strong pitching lifted the 16th-ranked Cowboys to a 3-to-1 win over 13th-ranked Wichita State in college baseball. Mach drove in the tying and lead runs with a seventh inning double while three pitchers held the Shockers to a single run on five hits Tuesday night in Wichita.

OSU starter Joe Kent scattered the five hits and the run over five innings while Tyler Blandford and Jordy Mercer each threw two hitless innings each, Blandford picks up the win while Mercer gets the save.

OSU now prepares to host Missouri for a three-game Big 12 Conference series this weekend with the Cowboys and Tigers currently tied for second in the league behind Texas.
