A teenaged girl accused of stabbing and killing a Cushing woman is being charged as an adult. Prosecutors charged 14-year-old Maria Wiley with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Alecia Dean.

Dean was stabbed several times on Saturday outside a home in Cushing, said police. She was found unconscious beside her vehicle, and was later pronounced dead at the Cushing hospital, authorities said.

Dean was allegedly attacked after she threatened to have police remove Wiley from the area.

Wiley is reportedly related to Dean’s fiancé, and had been staying in Cushing for a few months.

Wiley was denied bail on Monday and is being held in the Pottawatomie County Juvenile Detention Center.
