OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A 26-year-old Midwest City man is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend's 14-month-old baby.

Eric Richard Mond is also facing four felony drug counts following his arrest last week.

Midwest City police were called to the scene September 22nd where they found 14-month-old Morriah Inman not breathing and without a pulse. The baby died three days later after being removed from life support.

A police affidavit says Mond admitted to police he shook the baby after she was crying and screaming, and that he also smoked methamphetamine on the day of her death.
