March of Dimes gearing up for this year's ' WalkAmerica'

Come May 14th, you can use your feet to give premature babies a hand.

News on 6 anchor Terry Hood was one of many people Wednesday, who helped kick off the 35th annual WalkAmerica in Tulsa.

The walk helps the March of Dimes raise money in its fight against premature birth and birth defects.

This yearâ€™s ambassador family, Amanda Latta and her daughter, Lucy, know first hand how community support can make a difference. "I think this is very important for the fundraising, people like us to go out and give our story and to help support the March of Dimes."

This yearâ€™s WalkAmerica is Saturday, May 14th at LaFortune Park. If you want to start a team or get more information, call the March of Dimes at 742-0333.
