A teenager in Owasso was killed Sunday afternoon, when a soccer goal tipped over and crushed him.

Owasso Police say four boys were trying to move the soccer goal when it fell over. 15 year old Josh Hatzell was hit in the head by the crossbar.

Josh was a 9th grader, who ran track in Owasso at the mid-high. He and three other boys were trying to move the soccer goal when it tipped over and hit Josh in the head. The goal weighs at least 300 pounds, is made of steel, and is intentionally heavy so people won't try to move it. One of Josh's classmates, Caleb Prentice, says he was popular student who loved sports. "I had some classes with him and played with him in soccer, just messing around with track and stuff."

The Owasso Police Department is looking into the death, but say it appears to be just a tragic accident.

The Owasso school will have counselors ready to talk with students Tuesday about the accident.
