Looking for the owner of a class ring

It's not diamonds, but a Shawnee man thinks a class ring he found may be of value to someone.

James Lawson installs and repairs sewer lines in Pottawatomie County. Monday, he found the class ring in a manhole, stuck in the muck. "I'm down in there with my hands. I'm pretty close to the stuff; I can see pretty much everything down there.”

The ring has a blue stone, with Shawnee High School Class of 1970 around the stone. It also has quill and scroll symbols and what looks like a musical symbol. There are also the initials GJH engraved inside.

The ring looks like a woman's, but Shawnee school officials say there were only two people with the initials GJH who graduated in 1970 and they were both men.
