An Oklahoman has won the largest
first-place prize in bass fishing history.
Darrel Robertson -- a cattle rancher from Jay -- caught two fish
at just under six pounds during the final 15 minutes of competition
today to win the Ranger M-One Millennium bass tournament.
Robertson's total catch today was five fish weighing ten pounds,
six ounces. That was enough to earn him the 600-thousand dollar

competitive bass fishing,
today's final round was covered by Fox Sports. Additional events
are expected to be broadcast in the future.
The four-day tournament in Florida featured major surprises. Two
of the sports biggest names, Denny Brauer and David Walker failed
to make Friday's initial pro division cut.
