ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Grant Hill's injured ankle will sideline him for at least the next two weeks — and possibly a whole lot longer.
``There's no timetable,'' Orlando Magic spokesman George Galante said Sunday. ``It could be two weeks, it could be two months.''
The team said Hill will not be placed on the injured list, which would cause him to miss a minimum of five games.
Hill, who had ankle surgery in May, sat out Saturday night's 107-104 victory at Atlanta. It was the second game he missed in the season's opening week.
In Hill's two starts, he's averaged 13.5 points, seven rebounds and 6.5 assists in more than 34 minutes per game.
Hill has admitted that his shooting is off. His scoring is more than eight points below his career average, and in the Magic's loss to Philadelphia on Friday, he was 1-for-7 from the field in the fourth quarter.
Hill was one of Orlando's major offseason acquisitions, signing a seven-year, $94 million contract with the team in August after six season in Detroit.
