A rested Oklahoma now faces another Texas team

(Norman-AP) -- A romp over Baylor was fun while it lasted for top-ranked Oklahoma. Now it's back to the grind of a national title chase.

Saturday's 56-to-7 victory served as both a rest day and a tuneup for the Sooners' next game -- at 23rd-ranked Texas A-and-M.

The Sooners had an emotion-filled October with wins over Texas, Kansas State and then-Number One Nebraska. But O-U and quarterback Josh Heupel could take it easy against Baylor in a game they really couldn't lose.

Heupel played only the first half but still threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns. Oklahoma led 42-to-nothing after just two quarters, and Curtis Fagan tied a school record with three T-D catches.

The Aggies promise to be a much tougher opponent this week.
