(Miami, Oklahoma-AP) -- A Miami (MY-AM'-uh) elementary school was destroyed by fire early today, just hours before students were to arrive for class.
Officials say the blaze at Roosevelt Elementary began around five-thirty and burned for hours. No injuries are reported.
Assistant Superintendent Doug Spillman says school officials will meet this afternoon to determine how to resume classes. He says the goal is to have school on Monday.
Roosevelt is one of five elementary schools in Miami.
Spillman says the goal is to keep the school together and that using a large church could be one option.
Spillman says the cause of the fire has not been determined, but officials suspect an electrical source.
