Sand Springs Police detain suspect in shooting incident
A scare for employees at a Sand Springs steel factory, forced them into a lockdown situation.
Sand Springs Police say a man shot at the Excalibur Steel Factory building several times. The suspect was captured two hours later armed with a pellet gun. He was taken into police custody and shortly released.
Sand Springs Police assistant police chief, Carl Wortham: "People that have BB guns need to be aware of this, we're going to treat it as a real gun, it's just as dangerous as far as a situation is concerned. Until we confirm there have been people killed with pellet guns there have been people killed by BB guns."
Police say they will question their suspect again.
