Memorial Day is a time to honor heroes. And Monday had special meaning for one veteran.

Howard Kuehn received a silver star for his bravery and courage in 1945. He was awarded the medal after he rescued five soldiers who were critically injured in a minefield. "We had to carry them out one at a time on our backs. Hardest work I ever done in my life, but we got 'em."

Kuehn's entire family was able to attend the ceremony with him Monday in Tulsa.
