He ran for mayor once before and Sunday Republican Terry Simonson announced that he plans to run again.
Simonson is a local attorney; he says his campaign will focus on building a trustworthy government and helping the community build stronger families. He served as chief of staff under former Tulsa mayors Jim Inhofe and Richard Crawford. "Everybody will work with the same kind of passion I've got today to make sure that you get the town as good as you are. Tulsa is a great town, a great city, people are our greatest assets. With a new leader and a new century I think all of these things will happen."
The city election is scheduled next year.
