OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A woman died when fire swept through her northwest-side home early Saturday, fire officials said.
Freedom Green, 26, was sleeping in the one-story house when the blaze ignited in the kitchen and spread into the attic shortly before 6 a.m., said District Chief Jackie Edmondson.
Green was in the front room, he said.
``She woke up, but was unable to get out,'' Edmondson said.
Emergency workers removed her from the house and tried to revive her, but she was dead.
The exact cause of the fire was unknown Saturday, but the fire was ruled accidental.
Officials estimated damage at about $10,000 damage.
