ADA, Okla. (AP) _ East Central Oklahoma jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and never trailed in a 37-30 win over Central Oklahoma Saturday.
The Tigers (4-3, 4-2 Lone Star Conference) had 482 total yards of offense, including 235 in the air. Luke Hackbarth completed 18 of 26 attempts, including touchdown passes of 25, 15 and 13 yards.
The Bronchos (1-7, 0-5 LSC) trailed 17-14 at the half. But East Central scored 13 unanswered points early in the third quarter to take a 30-14 lead with 9:45 remaining.
East Central's Gerome Castleberry led all rushers with 194 yards, including touchdown runs of 25 and 2 yards.
Central Oklahoma had 433 total yards on offense. Brett Manning completed 14 of 24 passes for 225 yards.
Greg Briley rushed for 76 yards for Central Oklahoma, including three touchdowns.
