(Norman-AP) -- Student-athletes at the University of Oklahoma can now turn to a sports psychologist when college life gets overwhelming. Doctor Nicki Webber-Moore is being hired as the athletic department's full-time sports psychologist.
Moore says most athletes avoid visiting psychologists like many people avoid going the doctor's office. She says she hopes to earn the players' trust and help them look at psychology in a different light.
Moore was hired in part as a result of an O-U sports committee that requested more counseling services be made available.
