Norman rape suspect apprehended in Tennessee

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Tennessee police have captured a Newalla man wanted in the kidnapping and rape of an Oklahoma City teenager.

Oklahoma State Park Ranger Terry Gibson says Jeffrey Jack Davis was caught in Manchester, Tennessee, while he was sitting at a bus station Saturday.

Davis is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at Lake Thunderbird.

Gibson says he doesn't know the details of the arrest and didn't know when Davis would be returned to Oklahoma.

An arrest warrant for Davis was issued July 19th in Cleveland County.

He's wanted on charges of first-degree rape, rape by instrumentation, lewd molestation, forcible sodomy and kidnapping.
