Presidential Candidates File To Appear On Oklahoma Ballot

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- More presidential candidates file for Oklahoma's February 5th presidential primary. Democratic Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut and Republicans Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson and Daniel Gilbert filed before Wednesday afternoon's deadline.

Huckabee is a former Arkansas governor, Thompson is a former senator from Tennessee and Gilbert is from North Carolina.

Also filing was Midwest City retiree Jim Rogers, who lost two previous races for the U.S. Senate and one for lieutenant governor.

All the major candidates have now registered to be included in the primary.

Oklahoma is among 23 states that will hold primaries or party caucuses on February 5th.
