NEW YORK (AP) - Nickelodeon is sticking by Jamie Lynn Spears even though she hasn't set a good example for fans of "Zoey 101" by getting pregnant at 16.
The network released a statement saying it "respects" her decision to "take responsiblity in this sensitive and personal situation." Nickelodeon says the "primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well-being."
Spears admits the pregnancy was a surprise for her and her 18-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge. But she says she'll keep the baby and raise it in Louisiana.
Spears tells OK magazine that she was "shocked and scared" when her home pregnancy test came up postitive. Now, she says, she's looking forward to being a mom and finding out as soon as she can whether she'll have a boy or a girl.
As for her own mother, Spears didn't have the nerve to tell her verbally. She handed her a note.
