NEW YORK (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani is back home and taking the day off Friday after being released from a St. Louis hospital Thursday.
The former New York City mayor had been hospitalized overnight after experiencing flu-like symptoms while campaigning in Missouri. A campaign statement says doctors then performed a series of precautionary tests. The results were normal.
Giuliani spoke to reporters after returning to his Manhattan apartment building late yesterday. Giuliani said he feels "fine" and thanked his wife Judith, who's a nurse, for being a calm and helpful presence.
The 63-year-old candidate is taking today off from the campaign trail. Aides say he'll be making planned visits to New Hampshire this weekend.
