It was all about Christmas Blessings in Okmulgee County on Saturday morning. It's an annual event for the Crosstown Church that began during the oil crisis of the 80s. Members of the church say their Christmas Blessing program originally offered dinner and presents to church members in need.

The program has now blossomed into a year-long event that helps hundreds of families and no matter how many families show up, they will make sure no one goes without.

"We buy toys all year long and then we take donations if anyone wants to help. We ask they donate money or time to bring new socks, underwear or jewelry," said Crosstown Church’s Carol Gilstrap.

Church members say about 275 families registered this year to shop through their room of gifts. They also received groceries for Christmas dinner and winter coats.
