Investigators Identify Victim In Turnpike Pedestrian Accident

SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating an accident near Sapulpa that left a 41-year-old Tulsa man dead.

The patrol says Christopher Albert Broome was walking in the middle of Interstate 44 about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he was struck and killed.

Broome was killed when he was hit by a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Gilbert Luna of Newcastle, Indiana. Luna and a passenger weren't injured.

The patrol says Luna was changing lanes when he hit Broome, who died at the scene.
