Man Arrested After Pointing Laser At Police Helicopter

A Tulsa man has been arrested for allegedly pointing a laser device at a Tulsa Police helicopter overnight. Police say the suspect pointed the laser at the helicopter as it flew over the 1000 block of West Newton Street late Monday night.

The police helicopter followed the car, in which the suspect was riding, until a Tulsa Police officer on the ground could stop the vehicle.

The suspect, Zachary Carpenter was arrested for pointing a laser at law enforcement officers and taken to the Tulsa County jail. Tulsa Police say a high intensity green laser was recovered from Carpenter's vehicle.
