Thousands of students in the Tulsa Public School district headed back to class Monday. Students were lined up at Eisenhower International School at 2819 South New Haven, waiting to catch school buses to other schools in the district. Tulsa Public School officials say the school day started with no major problems.

Students at Eisenhower International say they were glad to be back. "I don't know why, I just couldn't go to sleep, I just couldn't, too active," says 7th grader Terence Autry. Sixth grader Hannah Harden says she was also glad to be back, "I'm excited to be going back to school and it's just going to be really really fun."

Tulsa Public School officials want to remind parents that some of the school's start times have changed. You can check those out on the district's web site, www.tulsaschools.org.

Tulsa Public Schools has about 7,000 employees and 90 campuses in the district. Tulsa Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Michael Zolkoski says he is spending the day visiting with students at different schools across the school district.
