Funeral Held For K9 Deputy

Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma County K-9 deputy Brisco who was killed in the line of duty last week was laid to rest with full honors at a pet cemetery in Spencer.

Brisco died Friday when he was hit by a pickup truck while chasing a suspect across Interstate 35 in Oklahoma City.

Brisco's body in a flag-draped casket was escorted by two motorcycle deputies during the funeral service Tuesday with K-9 officers from more than a dozen law enforcement agencies on hand.

The sheriff's department honor guard delivered a 21-gun salute to conclude the service.

Officials say more than 30 K-9 officers are buried in the Precious Pets Cemetery in Spencer including 19 who assisted after the Oklahoma City bombing.
