"A lot of guys would pout up," said Golden Eagles coach Scott Sutton. "I love bringing a guy like that off the bench with high energy a guy who makes us better."

In Scott Sutton's system it doesn't matter if you start, but if you finish the game.

"I mean I just want to go out there and just play basketball and step up to the challenge when my team needs me," Jarvis said.

"He understands his role," Sutton said. "(Jarvis) is going to play just as many minutes whether he starts comes off the bench. He's going to be in the game in crunch time."

"I'd be hard pressed to choose another MVP besides Robert Jarvis," Sutton said. "(Jarvis) would have to get my vote for sure."

The Sixth man's confident play has helped put the Golden Eagles in position for another NCAA Tournament bid. Not too bad for a guy who comes from a town called Humble, Texas.

"It's a dream come true," Jarvis said. "Since I've been young I wanted to play Division-I basketball to see what it's like. It's a lot of fun and going out there and being successful."
