Another alternative fuel may come from the mainstay of the great plains: switchgrass.
Oklahoma is using tax money to test the crop for commercial use. Test crops are popping up in parts of western Oklahoma.
Oklahoma has already given $10 million toward bio-fuel research. Another $40 million is being ear-marked for bio-fuel research over the next three years.
