Flooding at 11th Street and U.S. Highway 169 stranded a car Monday morning.

Tulsa Police say a car headed southbound got off the highway, but was going too fast.  The car hit some high water which sent the car into a wall.

Tulsa Police closed the exit ramp until the waters could recede.

The driver was not hurt.

Earlier Monday, in south Tulsa, more than an inch of rain fell in a short period of time and caused other flooding problems.

Street flooding was a common sight when the rain comes down hard.

A motorist tried to go through high water, but the water stalled the vehicle's motor.  The stalled car at Memorial and the Creek Turnpike didn't stop other drivers though, who went through the flooded road anyway.

Severe weather, including a chance for dangerous thunderstorms, is in the forecast for Oklahoma for the next several days.

News On 6's WARN Team says a line of severe weather rolled across northeastern Oklahoma early Monday, dumping heavy rain and small hail as the storms moved eastward into Arkansas.

A chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue Monday night for parts of the state and a chance for thunderstorms are also in the forecast statewide for Tuesday.

With those rains Monday morning, there were reports of street flooding at several locations in Tulsa.
