City-wide tree debris pick-up begins on Monday. Recent heavy rains and damaging winds have forced many Tulsans to clear their yards, again.

The City of Tulsa is conducting a one-time sweep.

They'll pick up any debris left at the curbs, but piles need to be stacked as close to the street as possible away from equipment and cars.

"Try to put it in an area where they can reach out with these mechanical grapplers, pick it up, put it in the truck without breaking a fence or mailbox," said Bob Bledsoe of the City of Tulsa.

The other option is to take the debris to the city's Green Waste site.  That's near Mingo on 56th Street North.  It's open all week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You should have proof of residency like a recent utility bill or driver's license.
