Guard Member On Leave From 3rd Tour In Iraq

An Oklahoma Guardsman is home after his third tour in Iraq.  Specialist Kyle Tibbits arrived in Tulsa on Friday for a two week leave.

"The first one was actually invading the country so that was a lot more action. The second time, I did convoys. That was a little different action, too. And, this time was more relaxed of a mission," said Specialist Kyle Tibbits.

He's been in Iraq off and on for the past six years, since he was 18 years old.  His mom says she never would've guessed her son would serve three tours of duty.

"I don't think I'm going to be able to relax until he's back for good," said his mom, Lynne Shirley.

Shirley says with each deployment the communication between them gets better, but the stress remains the same.
